HISTORY OF OUR CLUB
The Wiltshire cavy club was formed on 1st January 1997 by a handfull of local cavy fanciers who were keen to put on shows and also to be able to get some sound information about the proper way to look after your guinea pig out to the public. Swindon was already served by one club " The Swindon Cavy Club " but it was thought that there was enough interest in the Cavy Fancy to support another club so " The Wiltshire Cavy Club " was formed.
A small but very enthusiastic committee was found:
M. Pearce - Chairperson
M. Hooper - Secretary
J. Billing - Show Secretary
J. Larkin - Treasurer
Other Committee Members was J. Ellis and J. Giles.
It was decided to offer a wide range of classes from purebreeds to pets
The first advert announcing a new club for Wiltshire appeared in Cavies in March 1997.

Our first show will be on 10th May 1997; there will be a super duper raffle to mark the first show. You can sponser a rosette for your favourite breed, As well as the sales pens you can also advertise stock and services on the sales board.
